What is chekya?


Chekya is a cloud application that helps business to business service providers effortlessly manage the risks associated with outsourcing to contractors. Chekya achieves this by registering and tracking the expiry of licenses, insurances and any other contractor accreditation. Chekya also helps businesses maintain profiles of an approved pool of contractors so they can easily search and access important information such as skills, qualifications and location. The Corporate and Enterprise versions provide project allocation and tracking, real-time information sharing, file and photo storage and many other handy features.




Who is chekya designed for?


Chekya is designed for business to business providers who outsource services to contractors on behalf of a third party client where their client holds the relationship with the end customer. The nature of these services require the contractors to hold particular accreditations and/or insurances; for example, electricians. Chekya works for businesses of any size and caters well to businesses that operate on a national scale or want to expand their operations nationally. The project management features of Chekya (available on the Corporate and Enterprise versions) are best suited to small-scale, quick projects, rather than complex, long-term projects.

What is a 'cloud application' and how does it work?


A cloud application, or cloud app, is software that’s accessed via the internet, instead of a local computer. Cloud applications are increasingly popular because they have a number of benefits, from accessibility to reliability and reduced costs (because power and storage is hosted remotely). You can access Chekya from any device using any major internet browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari).




Is my data safe?


Chekya is developed and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is trusted by many of the world’s leading companies to keep their highly confidential information secure. Global brands that use AWS include Netflix, NASA, Adobe, Airbnb and Samsung, to name a few. AWS operates an expanding network of 69 high-security data centres across the globe, including three located in Sydney, Australia. Can I access chekya offline?


Chekya is a software as a service (SaaS) platform where both the application and the underlying data are stored on remote servers. This means you’ll need an internet connection to access it. You can, however, download selected data into standard formats (for example, CSV spreadsheets) to use in other applications, such as Excel.




Can chekya be used to project manage?


Chekya’s main function is profiling and managing the credentials and insurances of third party contractors and/or employees. Chekya has three versions available – Professional, Corporate and Enterprise. The Corporate and Enterprise versions allow you to allocate and track projects, as well as centrally store project documents and images. Chekya serves as an excellent project management app if your business manages lots of small-scale projects with a fast turnaround and needs to keep key stakeholders updated on their progress. If you deal with large-scale projects delivered over multiple weeks, months or years, Chekya serves as an excellent companion app to dedicated project management platforms.




What version of chekya are available and how do they differ?


There are 3 versions of Chekya – Professional, Corporate and Enterprise. The Professional version helps you manage the profiles of your contractors through skill profiling and accreditation and insurance monitoring. The Corporate and Enterprise versions build on this by also allowing you to effectively manage projects, communicate in real time with stakeholders and store documents and images. The main features of the Corporate and Enterprise versions are the same, but the Enterprise version gives you have unlimited contractor and client accounts, more projects and user accounts and priority phone support. Can the app be customised?


Yes, there are some customisable features so you can tailor the platform to your business and industry. For example, you can define the categories for classifying your contractors. You can also define the skills, licenses and insurances that are required of your contractors.




What is DocuSign and how does it work?


Take advantage of optional DocuSign integration on our Corporate and Enterprise plans. Printing, scanning and emailing agreements is resource-intensive and lacks important security controls. DocuSign’s cloud-based electronic signature and agreement system transforms the agreement process through real-time sign-offs and automation.
